Leasehold Ground Rent – reform

The Leasehold Reform (Ground Rent) Act came into force on 30 June 2022. For retirement properties it comes into force in 1 April 2023. This means that only a peppercorn ground rent (ie no money) can be charged on new, qualifying long residential leasehold properties in England and Wales.
